Robert Gonzalez, Flix Brewhouse San Antonio Head Brewer

      Born and raised in San Antonio, Rob has always had a passion for craft beer. The process of grain to glass through yeast fermentation as well as the cultured history of brewing is something that always drew him towards the craft. During the pandemic, Rob took the time to really learn and understand the science behind brewing and got his foot in the door at a local downtown brewery, where he was able to learn on a larger scale. After about a year of working at Flix, he became the assistant brewer before eventually working his way up to become the head brewer for the San Antonio location. His favorite styles of beers to brew are any type of traditional dark or light lager. When he isn't focused on his next batch of beer, he likes to spend quality time with his family as well as visit local breweries in and around Texas. 

Josh Miller, Flix Brewhouse National Brewery Operations Manager

      Josh started with Flix Carmel in August of 2015 as an assistant brewer. Josh learned about brewing while in an organic chemistry class at Purdue University. This immediately became a hobby of his and he spent the next few years home brewing and learning about brewing while in school and out of school. Following Purdue, while trying to get a brewing job, he worked for a Food and Chemical manufacturing laboratory. When Flix was hiring a new assistant in the fall of '15, they were looking for a brewer with lab experience, and so Josh got the job! Josh was assistant with Flix Carmel until September of 2017, when he went to open a brewery in the town he and his wife were currently living in. During Covid he then went to work with a brewery equipment engineering firm. When he heard Flix Carmel was reopening and looking for a new head brewer, he jumped at the chance! In his spare time, Josh does some serious gardening, raises Chickens, Ducks, and Turkey, and makes wine and cider.
