James "Huggy Bear" Wolfe, Flix Brewhouse Mansfield Head Brewer
James “Huggy Bear” Wolfe was a young lad from Phoenix with big dreams of accomplishing great things. Armed with an aerospace engineering degree from ASU, his first quest was to become a rocket scientist, working with NASA.
However, he quickly grew tired of helping others go to space and turned to his true passion...making beer! A homebrewer for many years, he was hired by a plucky upstart brewery as a professional brewer. At last, he had found his true path!
Over the next several years, he worked with four breweries, including opening his own brewpub, which he later sold. Now, our intrepid hero has brought his skills and passion to Mansfield, where he combines his love for beer, food, and movies!
FLIX BREWHOUSE MANSFIELD
Josh Miller, Flix Brewhouse National Brewery Operations Manager
Josh started with Flix Carmel in August of 2015 as an assistant brewer. Josh learned about brewing while in an organic chemistry class at Purdue University. This immediately became a hobby of his and he spent the next few years home brewing and learning about brewing while in school and out of school. Following Purdue, while trying to get a brewing job, he worked for a Food and Chemical manufacturing laboratory. When Flix was hiring a new assistant in the fall of '15, they were looking for a brewer with lab experience, and so Josh got the job! Josh was assistant with Flix Carmel until September of 2017, when he went to open a brewery in the town he and his wife were currently living in. During Covid he then went to work with a brewery equipment engineering firm. When he heard Flix Carmel was reopening and looking for a new head brewer, he jumped at the chance! In his spare time, Josh does some serious gardening, raises Chickens, Ducks, and Turkey, and makes wine and cider.
