Round Rock, Texas – July 11, 2024 – Flix Brewhouse announces its brewers won a staggering 12 medals including five gold medals across several categories at this year’s U.S. Open Beer Championship. One of the largest brewing competitions in the U.S. judging over 170 different styles, this year’s contest had over 9,000 entries from across the country.

Flix Brewhouse earned recognition for a diverse range of styles with gold, silver, and bronze medals for beers made at several of its cinemas nationwide. Notably among Flix’s medals includes a Gold for “Kutia,” a Ukrainian-inspired Foreign Stout from its Round Rock location’s Head Brewer Sasha Berezhnyk, who moved to the US from Ukraine in 2023. 

"Our success at this year’s Open is really a testament to our quality-first mentality," said Josh Miller, National Brewery Operations Manager. "We produce fresh, local beer at each of our breweries and do it to the highest standard possible. We want every guest who visits to have the best experience possible, and these medals are a real symbol of those efforts."
